 This class teaches our approach to acting through storytelling and introduces students to the same tools that our adult professional actors work.  We believe that to act is to play and that students learn the most in an atmosphere of relaxed positive reinforcement. The class begins with games and exercises to introduce students collaborative play, ensemble building skills, and the foundational elements of storytelling.

Approx. age 7-9 *Level Introductory and just for fun!

AUDITION PREP 101

Want to learn how to stand out in an audition?  This workshop will teach you the secrets skills needed to put your best foot forward in auditions, learning every aspect of the audition from acting to singing and dancing! 

Perform and receive individual feedback and coaching

This class will focus on learning how to engage and stay engaged while on stage and in auditions. 

Topics covered:  Stage presence, reading scenes, movement in scenes, and reactions.

8-10 YRS ( 7 based on trial ) *Level Interested, can still be a beginner, but wants to work!

MUSICAL THEATRE AUDITIONS LV2

This workshop focuses on looking at different works allowing the student to learn how to develop a truthful acting instrument rooted in fundamentals. 

Perform and receive individual feedback and coaching 

Weeks 1 - 3: Daily Dance & The 16 Bar Cut Audition or Monologue 

Week 4 - 5: Daily Dance &  Read Auditions (Scene Work) 

Week 6:  Perform your audition!

In this class, the student will learn how to react truthfully, how to approach a script, how to interpret what is being portrayed,  & how to list to your intuition during an audition.

10-14 YEARS *Level Really thinks this could be there thing, or is a beginner who is dedicated!

Im not a Dancer, I am a mover!

For singers and actors who want to learn to dance and become comfortable in their body moving around onstage in performances and in auditions.

 Auditions can be nerve-wracking and scary, but we want you to be the student that shows up and goes for it! When a students just gives up, or shows their frustration if they aren’t “getting it,” That can read as attitude.   So jump in, make big mistakes! That will make them want you. 

This class will introduce foundational dance technique and choreography & encourage confidence, stage personality and coordination.

Some experience is a bonus, but will work with all levels.  

If brand new we recommend taking a few private tap lessons to learn the basics first!

AUDITION &  COLLEGE PREP DANCE

When it comes time to apply for college or various Musical Theatre programs there are lots of things you can prepare in advance: your song cuts, your monologues, your pre-screen videos, but what about the live dance call? How can you do your best in this situation where you have no idea what is going to be asked of you? If you are a strong dancer with years of training, how do you show yourself to your best advantage? How can you prepare for unknown choreography or routines that may be beyond your skill level? 

-Learn a  double pirouette  or a clean single

-Ballet training because choreography is ALWAYS given using French terms from ballet, which you must know at auditions and rehearsals.

-Add essential steps and tricks

-Be familiar with jazz basics

-Learn to Recognize, repeat, retain and perform 

This workshop will have a new routine and various skills every week.  There is NO dance recital. This is NYC styled training.

Fairytale Scenes and Songs (4-6 age)

Journey through the land of fairytales where song dance and scenes will become adventurous mini musical.  Become a princess, a pirate a prince who knows even a Queen who raps!

Fancy Nancy Musical Camp (ages 7-10)

Bring your imagination as we embark on a fancy theatre journey!  Performing with all the elements of what makes Nancy so fancy, tutus, boas, tea parties, love of big words and friendship.

 Get a character, learn scenes, songs, dances, and make your own costumes and props!  Concludes with a Fancy Showcase! 

Mon-Thursday 9am-3Pm
